My name is Amir Atouani. I’m a Canadian-born Moroccan photographer based on the Island of Montreal; Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang, Quebec. My photographic practice is situated somewhere between documentary photography and visual poetry; near documentary. I am interested in the definition of roots; what defines them and also what is the place people call Home. Photography is the method and the language that I chose to try to find some answers.
